Here is my rendition of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. My goal with this project was to stick as closely as possible to the original concepts by Yoji Shinkawa while also bringing him current gen. This meant opting for a more slender look along with exaggerating some proportions. I hope this is a treat for some of you MGS fans!
This project was a blast. Learned a lot about Substance with this character. I really enjoyed the combination of relatively realistic texturing and exaggerated/stylized proportions. This concept by Sergi Brosa was a lot of fun to realize in 3D. Just a good ol' time all around.
My submission for the 2014 Comicon Contest. I decided to take on The Hulk for this but I wanted my Hulk to stand out from any other Hulk. I looked into several versions of The Hulk and found a design I thought was more interesting and unique, "Bearded Hulk."
This ended up being quite the crash course on anatomy and that's exactly why I wanted to tackle this.
